Synopsis

Hakuya Mitsumine obtains first prize in a lottery: tickets for a hot spring trip of his choosing. His sister, Mashiro, selects a particular hot spring located in a village where locals tell unsettling stories about strange beings seen nearby. Hakuya supports her choice, and together with Mashiro and a small group of friends they travel to the village. Seeking to verify the rumors, the group enters a dim, wooded area intent on glimpsing the rumored creatures. Their attempt is repeatedly interrupted by a series of eerie, unexplained incidents that complicate the outing. Rather than abandoning their aim, the group persists in their attempt to encounter the creatures, determined not to leave without resolving their curiosity.
