Synopsis

Aoi Yukimura, energized by a summer that transformed her view of climbing, continues exploring mountaineering during her first year of high school. Having confronted her acrophobia and honored a childhood pledge with her friend Hinata Kuraue, Aoi finds herself drawn to any chance to climb again, including an anticipated attempt to summit Mt. Fuji the following summer. While she trains and readies herself to improve upon her previous experience, the passing seasons bring rising hopes and pressures that test the long-standing friendship between Aoi and Hinata and challenge how each imagines their paths ahead. The story follows their evolving relationship and the emotional and practical preparations tied to pursuing peaks both literal and figurative.
