Synopsis

Lucy belongs to a mutated group called Diclonius, identifiable by small horns and unseen telekinetic appendages. Subjected to brutal experiments by government researchers, she eventually breaks free, leaving a trail of violence born from years of cruelty. During her escape she suffers a severe cranial wound that fractures her mind, creating a childlike alternate persona with limited speech. In this vulnerable condition she is found by Kouta and his cousin Yuka, two college students who, unaware of her lethal capabilities, shelter the wounded woman. Their decision to help draws them into a concealed network of state secrecy and conspiratorial forces tied to Lucy’s origins.
