Synopsis

After being gravely injured during the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, samurai Toyohisa Shimazu is transported from a battlefield to a sterile white corridor where a reserved man called Murasaki stands amid countless doors. Drawn through one of them, Toyohisa emerges in an unfamiliar land filled with mythical beings and other warriors from his era believed dead. He soon allies with the notorious warlord Nobunaga Oda and the ancient archer Yoichi Suketaka Nasu. Together they discover they have been brought to this world as "Drifters," destined to oppose the "Ends," figures tied to the rise of the Orte Empire who seek the Drifters' destruction. As the Ends consolidate power, the Empire intensifies its persecution of elves and other demihumans, provoking wider conflict. Toyohisa and his unlikely companions become engaged in a new, large-scale war within this foreign realm, fighting both to protect the Empire's oppressed peoples and to confront the Ends who threaten the land's future.
