Synopsis

Set after the conclusion of the Adventure series, the story opens when a mysterious Digimon egg appears on the internet and infiltrates computer networks across Japan. When the egg hatches it proves to be a previously unseen Virus-class Digimon that feeds on system data, causing widespread disruption as it grows. As the creature devours more information it undergoes successive transformations, escalating the threat. Taichi and Koushiro deploy Agumon and Tentomon into the network to confront the emergent menace, while the virus begins to seize control of critical infrastructure, including foreign military systems, amplifying its danger beyond the digital realm. Seeking additional support, they recruit Yamato and Takeru in an effort to halt the rampage and protect the human world from the spreading digital crisis.
