Synopsis

In a world where 'Toys' grant individuals distinct supernatural abilities, two opposing roles emerge: some are pure-hearted and pursue careers as detectives, while others carry tainted Toys and become phantom thieves. This divide led to the creation of detective academies worldwide to train investigators to pursue and apprehend the thieves. At Yokohama's Holmes Detective Academy, Sherlock Shellingford, Nero Yuzurizaki, Hercule Burton, and Cordelia Glauca comprise Milky Holmes, a team regarded as top students. During a clash with the phantom thief Arsene, the quartet suddenly lose their Toys and are deemed unfit for detective work. Stripped of status and forced to live in a dilapidated attic, they are given a three-month deadline to restore their powers or face expulsion. Tantei Opera Milky Holmes follows their struggle to reclaim their Toys while attempting to continue detective work without the abilities that once defined them, capturing the group's challenge, camaraderie, and determination under pressing consequences.
