When Mori Kogoro's detective agency receives a blackmail call, the caller's number proves wrong. Conan recognizes the voice as resembling that of his old friend Heiji, a fellow high school detective from Osaka. The two team up again to investigate the incident and locate a stolen jewel. Their efforts are complicated by the involvement of the infamous phantom thief Kaitou Kid, who also covets the gem valued at 100,000,000 Yen. Conan and Heiji must uncover the true perpetrator and secure the jewel before Kaitou Kid claims it.
