Synopsis

Three years after alien forces arrived and triggered a devastating global conflict, Tokyo lives under the shadow of a massive mothership that dominates the skyline. The invasion prompted an intense military response, mass arms production, and heated debates over the ethics of violent resistance. Amid rationed hope and social fracture, Kadode Koyama and Ouran Nakagawa spend their final school days much like before—attending classes, playing with friends, and keeping to familiar routines. As they mature, the pair confront the complexities of adulthood in a society where those in power often betray trust and inflict harm. Their growth reveals a grim realization: beyond the extraterrestrial threat overhead, human choices and failings pose an equally grave danger to the future.
