Synopsis

A family quarrel over Himawari, the youngest Nohara sibling, escalates into a solar system–spanning comedy with action elements. After a scuffle triggered by Himawari eating Shinnosuke’s dessert, two enigmatic strangers arrive and Shinnosuke agrees—under unforeseen terms—to let them take her. The Nohara family is then carried off by UFO to the so-called Planet Himawari. There, the proclaimed leader Sunday Goronesky the Great insists that Himawari must assume the role of the planet’s princess; this, he claims, is essential to avert a looming catastrophe threatening both Earth and Planet Himawari.
