Synopsis

Set in 2010, the expansionist Holy Empire of Britannia has conquered Japan and rebranded it as Area 11, provoking persistent resistance from those seeking freedom. Lelouch Lamperouge, a student under Britannian rule, is inadvertently drawn into conflict between imperial forces and local insurgents. He survives a deadly encounter when a enigmatic woman named C.C. appears and transfers to him Geass, an ability that grants absolute control over others. Aware of the tactical and moral weight of this capability, Lelouch assumes the masked identity of Zero and leads a calculated, relentless campaign against Britannia with the goal of avenging personal wrongs and altering the balance of power. The story follows his strategic efforts, the ethical challenges of wielding coercive power, and the broader struggle of a subjugated people seeking autonomy.
