Synopsis

In third grade, Momoko is given a class assignment to create artwork inspired by her favorite song for an upcoming contest. She becomes absorbed by a tune introduced in music lessons and worries about translating its feelings into a strong picture. While traveling to visit relatives in Shizuoka, Momoko encounters Shouko Kimura, a university student who sometimes sketches portraits at the train station and also intends to enter an art competition. Drawn to Shouko's artwork, Momoko seeks her out again, and Shouko, in turn, is touched by Momoko's sincere and compassionate nature. Their meeting leads to a swift friendship in which each encourages and influences the other's artistic expression.
