Synopsis

Cardfight Vanguard has become a cultural fixture, turning collectible card play into a common pastime where enthusiasts, known as cardfighters, meet in shops to duel. Aichi Sendou, a reserved and often mocked student, clings to a rare card called Blaster Blade that he received in childhood; it serves as a source of comfort and resolve. When a school bully seizes the card, it ultimately ends up with Toshiki Kai, a newcomer whose skill has made him the strongest fighter in town. Kai will not return Blaster Blade unless Aichi beats him in a cardfight. Confronted with this challenge, Aichi summons unexpected bravery and, by imagining victory, begins his journey into the adventurous competitive world of Cardfight Vanguard.
