Baishin, a Shinigami once confined by the Soul Society, has been unleashed on the human world. During a chance encounter, Ichigo suffers the loss of about half his reiatsu to Baishin's power. Facing the threat alone and weakened, Ichigo joins forces with the Soul Society as they attempt to halt Baishin's destructive campaign and prevent further harm.
