Synopsis

Souls move on to the Soul Society after death; those that linger in the living world can become Hollows, predatory beings that consume other souls. Soul Reapers are tasked with eliminating Hollows and escorting lost souls to their rest. Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki routinely handle Hollows in Karakura Town, but their routine is disrupted by the emergence of hostile Blanks—souls stripped of memory and resistant to the Reapers’ soul burial. A previously unknown Soul Reaper named Senna intervenes to repel the Blanks, yet she refuses to reveal her background. At the same time, a lifelike illusion of the human realm manifests above the Soul Society, deepening the mystery. The characters must confront the nature of the Blanks, the origins and motives of Senna, and the cause of the mirage that links these events, all while avoiding further spoilers about unfolding revelations.
