Synopsis

When souls condemned for unforgivable transgressions are expunged from the cycle of rebirth, they are sealed in Hell. From that inescapable realm, three anguished beings calling themselves the Sinners of Hell break free and erupt into Karakura Town, triggering a violent clash with substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki and his companions. After the confrontation, Ichigo’s sisters are taken, and Shuren, the Sinners’ leader, intends to draw Ichigo back into Hell to seek his own release from its bonds. Aided unexpectedly by a Sinner named Kokutou, Ichigo and his allies mount a mission into Hell to retrieve the abducted sisters. The Soul Society resists this expedition, fearing disruption to the balance between worlds. As allegiances shift and distinctions between ally and enemy grow uncertain, Ichigo faces a grave moral crossroads whose outcome could destabilize the human world, the Soul Society, and Hell itself.
