When Rukia Kuchiki is attacked by an unknown pair who wipe her memories while she remains in Seireitei, Ichigo Kurosaki—acting as a substitute Soul Reaper—briefly loses recollection of her until Kon, a modified Mod-Soul in the form of a stuffed animal, restores the reminder. Seeking answers, Ichigo turns to his town’s candy-shop proprietor, Kisuke Urahara, who provides access to Seireitei. There Ichigo discovers a startling reversal: the Soul Society’s Shinigami allies no longer remember him. The story follows Ichigo and Kon as they navigate battles against former comrades, attempt to locate Rukia, and work to uncover the identity and motive of the attackers before they can strike again.
