Synopsis

A weary warrior named Munsu, lost and unable to proceed through the desert, has his life saved by Mon-ryon. Mon-ryon is a young man whose aspiration is to become a secret agent for Jushin, a once-prominent country that has recently been devastated. His immediate goal is to rescue his girlfriend, Chunhyan, a natural fighter imprisoned by the malevolent Lord Byonand. Unexpectedly, Mon-ryon sustains a fatal wound from the Sarinjas, a species of cannibalistic desert goblins. Munsu, acting quickly, persuades these creatures to spare his own life by offering Mon-ryon's body. Although skeptical of Mon-ryon's motivations, Munsu decides to continue the mission that the young idealist had outlined. Utilizing the powers of an Angyo Onshi to summon an army of spectral troops, Munsu successfully liberates Chunhyan. After visiting her boyfriend's grave, she declares herself Munsu's bodyguard, and together they embark on a journey to punish those responsible for Jushin's loss of its former glory.
