Synopsis

On the first day of middle school, Mato Kuroi meets Yomi Takanashi, and despite Yomi’s initial surprise at Mato’s blunt manner, they quickly form a close friendship and spend their days together. Mato marks their bond by giving Yomi a blue star phone charm matching her own. In their second year their relationship shifts: Mato is assigned to a different class and grows closer to Yuu Koutari, a teammate from the basketball club, while Yomi gradually drifts away until Mato struggles to find any trace of her. At the same time, in a parallel struggle, Black★Rock Shooter pursues the Dead Master, an adversary with ties to her past. The two conflicts begin to intersect, and the disappearance of Yomi appears connected to the blue star charm and the enigmatic gunslinger known as Black★Rock Shooter.
