Synopsis

A corporate employee named Rokurou Okajima seeks promotion until a business meeting in Thailand collapses and he is taken hostage by the Lagoon Company, a ruthless band of pirate mercenaries. Abandoned when his firm refuses ransom, he makes a drastic choice: rather than plead for rescue, he becomes part of the crew that captured him. Now living in Roanapur, a decayed city ruled by corruption and crime, Rokurou must learn to survive where a single mistake can be fatal. He frequently clashes with Revy, a volatile gunslinger in the group, and faces pressure as the crew's illegal operations bring more than financial risk. As he works to leave his old life behind, Rokurou is forced to make hard decisions under extreme stress while striving to retain his sense of morality.
