Synopsis

Yukio "Koyuki" Tanaka, a fourteen-year-old lacking direction, encounters a battered dog named Beck and its owner, Ryuusuke "Ray" Minami, a sixteen-year-old guitarist and ex-member of a well-known rock outfit. After a chance reunion in a diner, Ray brings Koyuki to his old rehearsal space and reveals his impressive guitar ability, sparking Koyuki’s fascination with western rock. Motivated, Koyuki begins learning guitar and partners with Ray, Ray’s younger sister Maho, and other musicians to form a band named BECK. The narrative follows their collective efforts, challenges, and artistic development as they work toward establishing themselves and gaining recognition across Japan.
