Synopsis

An anthropomorphic civilization teeters on the edge as a killing at Cherryton Academy reshapes society. After the carnivorous perpetrator is revealed, the school enforces segregation to shield herbivores, intensifying public hostility toward carnivores. Simultaneously, a booming clandestine meat trade and the destabilization of the Shishi-gumi lion gang—following the death of its leader—create a climate of violence and opportunism. A mysterious, brutal figure seeks to take control of the Shishi-gumi by introducing a potent drink aimed at carnivores. Legoshi, a reserved grey wolf who left school and struggles with his predatory nature, tries to live simply and uses his strength only to defend those who cannot defend themselves. His peripheral role in the academy murder draws the notice of the Beastar, the society’s foremost authority. Legoshi clings to his principles and to his contentious relationship with Haru, a white dwarf rabbit, even as tensions between carnivores and herbivores threaten to pull him into escalating disorder.
