A diminutive ten-year-old academic prodigy enters high school, bringing a childlike fondness for plush toys and home-cooked meals into a classroom already full of eccentric personalities. Their homeroom teacher is a scatterbrain prone to impulsive, unorthodox actions to avoid tardiness. Among the students are an exuberant tomboy whose energy outpaces her judgment, a hot-tempered friend with a short fuse, a tall, athletic girl whose stern appearance conceals a tender heart and a deep fixation on cats, and a dreamy transfer student who fits in easily and offers whimsical observations.
