Synopsis

In a future era where machines have become autonomous and provoke deep social and political disputes, Astro Boy (1980) centers on Atom, a young robot created to resemble his creator's late son. After surviving a difficult beginning, Atom is rescued and taken in by the compassionate Dr. Ochanomizu. As he strives to uphold justice, Atom becomes entangled in confrontations with numerous groups and repeatedly encounters the difficult truths of his world.
