Synopsis

In 2063 commercial space travel is routine. Cheerful Aries Spring arrives at a spaceport bound for a camp on the distant planet McPa when a thief grabs her purse; athletic Kanata Hoshijima recovers it and turns out to be one of the fellow teenagers assigned to travel with her as team B-5. At their campsite a mysterious sphere of black light suddenly pulls the group into deep space. They discover an abandoned vessel that offers a way home, but soon learn they are not near McPa at all and are instead thousands of light-years away. Facing limited supplies and grave uncertainty, the nine young travelers must conserve resources, stay physically and mentally strong, and cooperate closely to navigate the void. Though the cause of their displacement is unknown, they set out together aboard the salvaged ship Astra to attempt the dangerous journey back to their origin.
