Synopsis

At recess, Olivia, a foreign transfer student unfamiliar with English, joins Hanako Honda, an outspoken but scatterbrained girl, in a mischievous game that draws the attention of Kasumi Nomura, a deadpan loner who is often teased by her older sister for losing games. Reluctant to engage at first, Kasumi soon becomes involved and contributes her own brand of mischief. The three gradually develop an unusual friendship and establish the Pastime Club as a place to continue their daily antics. Their club life involves repeated failures at learning English, earnest but awkward attempts to gain popularity, and frequent run-ins with school staff at inopportune moments, turning ordinary school days into a series of chaotic, comedic scenarios.
