Set on Aqua—once called Mars—Neo Venezia is a recreated Venetian city where canals and gondolas define daily life. In the 24th century, humans established a colony that blends futuristic context with nostalgic, handcrafted beauty. Tour companies operate guided gondola excursions to help visitors and residents experience the city's charms; one such firm is the Aria Company. Akari Mizunashi, a young woman from Manhome (formerly Earth), joins Aria as an apprentice Undine, the title for gondola guides. Through her work she becomes closely connected with fellow Undine, travelers, and local inhabitants, while forming a deep familiarity with the city itself. Her journey unfolds as a quiet, reflective exploration of human connections and small, uplifting revelations about the world people create.
