Synopsis

A world besieged by supernatural perils relies on Inquisitors, specialized warriors dedicated to resolving these dangers through non-violent means. The Anti-Magic Academy serves as a training ground for these individuals, organizing students into small platoons to foster collaborative skills. Among these groups is the 35th Test Platoon, often derided as the 'Small Fry Platoon' due to its consistently low performance and the perceived inadequacy of its members. The dynamic of this struggling platoon shifts dramatically with the forced inclusion of Ouka Ootori. A formidable Inquisitor, Ouka was previously dismissed for her defiance of regulations, specifically for eliminating a witch—an act that contravenes the Inquisitors' non-violent mandate. Her arrival ignites immediate friction within the 35th Platoon. She frequently confronts Takeru Kusanagi, their somewhat inept captain, and engages in heated disputes with other squad members regarding her perspective on witches. For this disparate assembly to achieve success and advance within the Anti-Magic Academy, they must first overcome their internal conflicts and learn to function cohesively as a unified unit.
