Synopsis

Naomi Katagaki and Ruri Ichigyou appear as opposites at school: Naomi is reserved and hesitant, while Ruri’s blunt manner and icy reputation set her apart. Despite their differences, a shared devotion to literature brings them together and deepens their connection. As Naomi learns more about Ruri, he uncovers a kinder, softer side beneath her stern exterior and comes to care for her deeply. When he confesses his feelings, Ruri responds in kind and they begin a sincere relationship. That bond is violently shaken when Ruri is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Determined to restore the life they were building, Naomi commits himself to doing whatever it takes to bring Ruri back to everyday moments and to see her smile again.
