One year after the 77th generation of understudies becomes part of AKB0048, assaults on artistic expression escalate as the Deep Galactic Trade Organization (DGTO) and DES increase their campaigns. To counter this, AKB0048 reinstates general elections and revives the central nova role, forcing the students into a renewed rivalry with the successors.
