Accelerator, the strongest of them, still bears the effects of a serious brain trauma yet remains the apex of power. He keeps close watch over a small girl called Last Order, whose safety he vows to maintain despite his detached exterior. As Accelerator continues his recovery, hidden dangers within Academy City persist. A mysterious woman seeking Last Order draws him into a fresh struggle, exposing a corrosive element operating inside Anti-Skill, the organization charged with maintaining order. With threats mounting against Last Order and those connected to her, the self-styled antagonist must decide to reengage with the shadows to safeguard them.
