Synopsis

At the Barsburg Empire's Military Academy, cadets are trained to secure victory for the state, employing a combat aptitude called Zaiphon that varies with each individual's nature. Teito Klein, a standout pupil, endures scorn for his status as a sklave and for having no recollection of his history, yet he finds friendship with a fellow trainee, Mikage. While preparing for graduation assessments, Teito uncovers a troubling connection to his origins. After a failed assassination attempt against Ayanami, a powerful official implicated in his father's death, Teito is detained and faces punishment. Determined to protect him, Mikage aids Teito's escape, and he seeks refuge at the 7th District Church, where bishops shelter him. There he struggles to avoid capture by Ayanami and the military while attempting to reclaim his memories and understand why his existence may alter the world's course.
