Synopsis

After divine guardians withdraw their shelter, humanity gets a fragile opportunity to rebuild. Members of Sanshu Middle School’s Hero Club, having completed their obligations to Taisha, attempt to resume ordinary student life—but that peace follows significant loss. In Divine Era year 298, Mebuki Kusunoki contends for the title of next hero; despite intense effort to outshine rivals, the role goes to Karin Miyoshi, leaving Mebuki resentful of Taisha’s choice. Two years on, Mebuki takes command of the Sentinels, a unit charged with venturing into unexplored regions beyond the protective barrier. What begins as a reconnaissance assignment rapidly encounters unexpected dangers that threaten the fleet’s noncombatants. Determined to validate her capabilities, Mebuki resolves to return everyone under her care alive, regardless of the cost.
