Synopsis

Fifteen-year-old Kamui Shirou comes back to Tokyo after six years away to honor his deceased mother’s request, only to be drawn into a conflict that will determine humanity’s fate. Princess Hinoto, a prophetic dream seer, foretells an apocalyptic outcome and identifies Kamui as the pivotal figure who must decide between aligning with the Dragons of Earth—who seek to sacrifice human civilization to preserve the planet—or joining the Dragons of Heaven to defend mankind. Kamui’s attempt to retrieve a Sacred Sword from a temple guarded by Kyougo Monou, father to his childhood friends Fuuma and Kotori, ends in failure when someone else secures the weapon. Mistaking Kamui for the subject of her vision, Hinoto directs the Dragons of Heaven to approach him, while attacks by the Dragons of Earth threaten those closest to him. Initially resistant to accepting a predestined role, Kamui is forced to weigh the safety of his friends against the survival of the Earth and ultimately make a definitive choice.
