Synopsis

A once-dominant sentient mech misused its strength to slaughter beings known as Deathblack Beastmen, proclaiming itself invincible. A celestial entity responded by dividing that mech into five distinct lion-shaped machines. In 1999, five young men come back to Earth after traveling through space, discovering their home devastated by nuclear conflict. Pursued by the extraterrestrial Galra, the group is brought to the world Altea, where the separated lion machines lie dormant in scattered locations. The five must locate and bring the lions together to reconstitute the original guardian—Golion—their solitary chance to protect what remains of humanity.
