Zero Kiryuu's unexpected return to Cross Academy brings relief to Yuuki Cross, yet his demeanor and experiences have shifted profoundly. Haunted by persistent, disturbing visions that stem from decisions he has made, Zero begins a solitary search for their origin, not realizing how near the explanation might lie. As his condition unfolds, Yuuki becomes subject to her own disturbing hallucinations and turns to Kaname Kuran, the pureblood vampire who has long been closest to her, seeking insight into the mysteries surrounding her forgotten history.
