Synopsis

Kouhei Morioka, a freelance photographer, travels to a German castle to document reported supernatural phenomena for his friend Hiromi Anzai, an occult magazine editor. Inside the castle he meets a young girl in a white dress with cat-like ears who identifies herself as Hazuki. She quickly fixates on Kouhei, and when she attempts to claim him as hers by biting him, the expected effect does not occur. Hazuki, frustrated by Kouhei’s resistance, compels him to accompany her, while her protective butler Vigo and other immortal figures complicate their situation. With assistance from Kouhei’s cousin Seiji Midou, an exorcist, they escape the castle and Hazuki eventually flees to Japan in search of her mother. After Kouhei returns home, he finds that Hazuki has taken up residence there; though hesitant, he allows her to stay. As Hazuki settles in, other vampires mobilize to locate her. Blending gothic motifs with lighthearted charm, the story follows the evolving relationship between Kouhei and Hazuki as they navigate threats from a society of immortals and the odd dynamics of their new coexistence.
