Synopsis

Shinichirou Nakagami shares a home with the gifted and normally upbeat Hiromi Yuasa, who has become withdrawn and distant since her mother’s death. His unusual living situation draws envy and gossip among classmates. Then Shinichirou encounters Noe Isurugi, a girl feared for her hexes that have a way of coming true. When Noe targets Shinichirou, her curse produces an unintended consequence: two pits appear and her own cherished chicken, Raigomaru, is transformed into a raccoon. Noe remains unmoved because she is unable to shed tears—her ability to cry has been taken from her. Recovering Noe’s tears requires someone else’s tears, and Shinichirou sets his sights on a specific person whose sorrow he intends to remove.
