Synopsis

Centuries after demonic Oni once ravaged humanity, a young man named Shiki Ichinose lives carefreely and indulges his interest in firearms until his expulsion from school triggers a violent turning point. Ambushed by an attacker, Shiki is saved by his adoptive father Tsuyoshi, who reveals Shiki’s hidden heritage as part of the Oni line and discloses that their assailant belongs to the Momotarou bloodline. A brutal confrontation follows in which Tsuyoshi gives his life to protect Shiki. Grief unlocks Shiki’s dormant Oni nature, granting him overwhelming power that risks consuming his sanity. Though their enemy flees, an Oni instructor, Naito Mudano of Rasetsu Academy, takes notice and offers to train Shiki. Under Mudano’s supervision, Shiki must learn restraint over his berserker potential if he intends to pursue vengeance and navigate the legacy that now defines him.
