Synopsis

Three young people at the center of a small-town drama: Uesugi Kazuya, the admired, diligent ace pitcher of his middle school baseball team; his elder twin Tatsuya, a chronic underachiever who habitually cedes attention to his brother despite possibly possessing equal or greater ability; and Asakura Minami, their beautiful childhood companion and neighbor who regards both brothers on equal terms like family. Public expectation places Kazuya and Minami together as the ideal pair, an assumption accepted even by Tatsuya. Over time, however, Tatsuya comes to an acute realization: he is prepared to forgo almost anything for his brother’s sake, but he cannot surrender Minami to Kazuya without contest. The narrative follows Tatsuya’s efforts to assert himself against his more established younger twin, and examines how that rivalry reshapes the bonds among the three and influences each brother’s efforts to help Minami pursue the dreams she has held since childhood.
