Synopsis

Rumi Yokoi aims to stay attentive during lessons, yet her focus is repeatedly broken by her desk neighbor, Toshinari Seki. Seki devotes his time to crafting detailed pastimes at his desk—ranging from carefully arranged domino displays to strategic battles fought with shogi pieces—rather than following the curriculum. Yokoi struggles to maintain concentration but is continually drawn into observing his meticulous, eccentric activities, which frequently lead to her being scolded by their teacher. Despite the disruptions, Seki’s inventive distractions ensure that classroom time never feels monotonous.
