Synopsis

Mirai Onozawa, a middle school girl frustrated by her family situation, utters a wish to destroy everything, and shortly after a catastrophic magnitude 8.0 earthquake hits. During summer vacation she reluctantly brings her younger brother Yuuki to a robot exhibit in Odaiba; while there, they are caught in the quake that devastates the Kanto region. In the chaotic aftermath the siblings meet Mari Kusakabe, a motorcyclist and single mother who offers assistance. Determined to reach their respective homes and reunite with family, Mirai, Yuuki, and Mari embark on a difficult, extended trek across a ravaged urban landscape, facing the physical and emotional challenges of survival and recovery.
