Synopsis

Set two decades prior to Shaonian Ge Xing, this story follows Baili Dongjun, the pampered grandson of the Zhenxihou household who, unlike his highly skilled father and well-connected mother, lacks martial prowess and prefers crafting wine. A decade later, having perfected his brewing, he takes a land deed and flees hundreds of miles to Chaisang City to start a wine shop. The city’s main thoroughfare is rife with looming dangers, and his earnest dedication to winemaking draws him unintentionally into a feud between two families. Along his journey he crosses paths with Sikong Changfeng, a lone wanderer with no family, and Lei Mengsha, son of Zhuo Mo, whose chance encounters bind them by mutual gratitude. Baili Dongjun chooses to aid Lei Mengsha in rescuing Gu Jianmen, the son of Lingyun, who is held captive in a mansion. The tale unfolds during a fertile era of emerging talents: figures who will later be known as Xie Xuan, Yan Zhantian, and Luo Qingyang remain unrecognized youngsters now, their future renown still ahead as they move toward eventual encounters that will mark their rise.
