Synopsis

After losing her parents to illness, young Mary Lennox is sent from India to live with her reclusive uncle in the English countryside. Though grateful for food and shelter in the large manor, she struggles with loneliness and recurring traumatic memories. The household’s quiet atmosphere leaves Mary frequently bored and withdrawn until she stumbles upon a secluded garden near the estate. With the companionship of local children Dickon and Martha and the companionship of her disabled cousin Colin, Mary begins a gentle journey of healing and renewal as the hidden garden gradually brings warmth and color back into her life.
