Synopsis

Before U-17 camp invitations arrive, the middle school players use their remaining free days to relax and joke around together. A tiebreaker elimination match forces Rikkai’s Seiichi Yukimura and Genichirou Sanada—two of the “Three Demons”—into direct conflict, revealing the past between the “Child of God” and the “Emperor” as they compete for a camp spot. Subsequent elimination battles send Shitenhouji’s Kenya Oshitari and Kuranosuke Shiraishi into a charged rematch, where unresolved feelings from last year’s Nationals drive them to settle matters on the table. After grueling training, victors receive special treatment, while remaining campers argue over camp status and resolve their dispute through table tennis. When Hyoutei’s Choutarou Ootori loses a court shuffle match, he questions his place in the camp; Rikkai’s Bunta Marui offers guidance to help him recover from the setback. In inter-court shuffle play, Rikkai’s Akaya Kirihara and Shitenhouji’s Kuranosuke Shiraishi face mounting difficulty and rising tempers; Shiraishi must uphold a promise and keep Kirihara from losing control. A severe storm strains the camp’s food supply, breeding unrest; Seishun’s Satoshi Horio attempts to deliver a bag to Ryouma Echizen, but fellow campers suspect he is withholding provisions, sparking a scramble and chase as Horio tries to evade them. Throughout these events, the students confront rivalry, pride, camaraderie, and the pressures that accompany selection for the next level.
