Synopsis

Yuushi Oshitari of Hyoutei Academy tires of being regarded as the unfunny member of his social circle and deliberately engineers ridiculous scenarios to change that image. His efforts to manufacture humor through self-inflicted absurdity are met with confusion from his tennis club peers, who do not recognize his motives. In a subsequent installment, Kenya Oshitari, expected to play the comic role, worries that his routine has stopped drawing laughs. The arrival of Hikaru Zaizen, a teammate from Shitenhouji Middle School’s tennis squad, shifts the dynamic as Hikaru takes on the role of the butt of the jokes, relieving Kenya’s concern while continuing the focus on the characters’ attempts to navigate humor and reputation within their athletic environment.
