Synopsis

Sorata Kanda transfers to Suimei High's Sakura-sou dorm, notorious for housing the school's most unusual students. Intending to leave as soon as possible, he instead must adapt to life among his eccentric roommates: Misaki Kamiigusa, an energetic animator; Jin Mitaka, a charismatic writer; and Ryuunosuke Akasaka, a withdrawn prodigy. Sorata finds comfort in his friendship with aspiring voice actress Nanami Aoyama, who feels like a rare anchor of normalcy. When foreign exchange student Mashiro Shiina arrives, her striking presence and extraordinary artistic talent captivate Sorata. Although Mashiro demonstrates world-class ability, she struggles with basic daily tasks, and Sorata becomes responsible for her care. As he grows closer to her, his initial plan to escape the dorm fades. Surrounded by residents who excel in their fields, Sorata confronts his own lack of a defining skill and strives to stand beside them. The story follows the residents' ambitions, emotional trials, friendships, and romantic tensions, presenting a coming-of-age narrative about ordinary life intersecting with exceptional talent.
