In a realm where spiritual beings known as ayakashi coexist with humanity, these powerful and aesthetically refined entities occasionally select human women to become their brides. Yuzu experiences daily familial disdain, frequently measured against her sister, who has already become the bride of a demon fox. One day, overwhelmed by her difficult situation, Yuzu encounters an extraordinarily beautiful man on a bridge. This individual, revealed to be a highly influential and reputedly 'cold-hearted' ayakashi, unexpectedly proclaims Yuzu as his long-awaited spouse, demonstrating an intense personal devotion towards her.
