Synopsis

Joutarou Aragaki, renowned in gymnastics and known as Samurai for his distinctive hair, endures a shoulder injury after his wife’s death and struggles to regain form five years later. Despite relentless training as a member of Japan’s national team, progress stalls and his coach, Noriyuki Amakusa, suggests retirement. Accompanied by his spirited nine-year-old daughter Rei to deliver the news, Joutarou’s plans are disrupted by an eccentric self-styled ninja, Leonardo, whose insistence on seeing Joutarou perform leads to an unexpected bond. Prompted by Leonardo’s fascination, Joutarou publicly declares he will continue competing and commits to the most demanding challenge of his career in an effort to demonstrate that he belongs in the gymnastics arena.
