Synopsis

In Kawasaki, a superhero and an evil organization repeatedly confront one another, but expectations are inverted by their personalities and routines. The champion of justice spends his days being coarse, aggressive, and idle—often found at pachinko parlors and dependent on his partner—while the leader of the antagonists behaves with courtesy, domestic responsibility, and concern for his followers. The pair’s interpersonal conflicts, especially with the hero’s girlfriend who frequently argues with him, shape the tone more than straightforward heroics. Even the organization’s monsters are frequently harmless and endearing. Episodes are structured as multiple brief segments of varying length, focusing on mundane interactions as much as on schemes and countermeasures. The series presents the ongoing tussle between good and evil through a slice-of-life lens that emphasizes character-driven comedy and the everyday routines of both sides.
