Synopsis

Set in perpetual twilight, the Tasogare Hotel is a refuge for people caught between life and death. Guests arrive unaware of their condition and are required to retrieve fragments of their past concealed among personal items in their assigned rooms to determine their fate. Most recover or depart for the living within a few days, while a minority remain at the hotel for significantly longer. Neko Tsukahara, a young woman whose face rarely shows emotion, awakens at the hotel and, guided by the staff, begins to reclaim enough recollection to empathize with the struggles of other visitors. Rather than remain a passive guest, Neko becomes drawn into resolving the matters affecting those around her and investigating the circumstances surrounding the hotel itself, finding engagement in uncovering others' histories and the hotel's mysteries.
